Semester 2: February 5, 2019 to June 6, 2019

Schedule: Varied hours Monday - Friday (based on student enrolment)

Other locations may be announced based on student demand

Salary: OSSTF District 17, Instructor’s Collective Agreement

$27.72 – $31.89 per hour, including holiday and vacation pay


Required: TESL Ontario certification is required. In-depth understanding of and ability to implement the Canadian Language Benchmark framework and Portfolio Based Language Assessment. Advanced computer skills and extensive experience integrating technology in the classroom. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to be flexible and respond to a wide range of student needs and learning styles. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as a team member. Able to execute Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration (MCI) programming requirements.

Preferred: Experience engaging students and teaching English as a second language to adults in a continuous uptake classroom setting with individualized instruction. Experience using virtual learning tools to teach English as a second language. Familiar with Canadian Citizenship test preparation curriculum.
