Job Summary

•RN Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario

•BCLS current certification

•Three years’ experience in acute mental health (recent)

•CNA Mental Health certificate preferred

•Crisis prevention institute certificate or equivalent

•Brief solution focused therapy certificate preferred

•Ability to rapidly shift workload priorities

•Experience in assisting with ECT treatments and recovery

•Experience in recovery focused model of care

•Excellent knowledge of the Mental Health Act

•Excellent understanding of psychotropic medications

•Demonstrates excellence in communication, both written and verbal

•Demonstrates facilitation, problem solving skills and conflict resolution

•Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal

•Demonstrated problem assessment skills

•Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork

•Demonstrated individual leadership skills
