Job Description
  • Manage and support the proposal process from identification to qualification to production to delivery of high-quality and compliant proposals, ensuring content adheres to firm strategic objectives and MNP brand standards
  • Coordinate and review / edit proposal input from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from subject matter experts, account teams, external alliance partners, executives and the Legal department
  • Ability to coach account teams and subject matter experts in persuasive writing and proposal best practice
  • Champion best practices and guidelines to ensure the consistent production of high-quality, client-focused proposals
  • Assist in building and managing a regional Proposal Response Unit team to assist in execution
  • Analyze request for proposal (RFP) requirements in the development of clear and focused response strategies
  • Utilize effective research strategies to identify competitive intelligence
  • Establish proposal processes and compliant templates
  • Formulate criteria to determine timing, resource needs, address conflicts and assess risk in response to RFP requirements
  • Manage multiple proposals ensuring strict adherence to deadlines
  • Ensure high-quality preparation and production of materials
  • Write proposal narratives and executive summaries; ensure brand and messaging is consistent and compelling
  • Coordinate and develop proposal content and prepare effective presentations and messaging strategies with the expectation of increasing the overall success rate of engagement proposals
  • Develop and maintain a proposal content database, ensuring proper tracking and maintenance of proposal materials
  • Develop proposal schedules and tracking while reporting on progression of proposal metrics and success rates
  • Review potential new opportunities/requirements, determine suitability of requirement to current service offerings, provide a summary and circulate with appropriate decision makers for pursuit decision
  • Influence engagement teams to use proper strategies and tactics to improve overall success rates
  • Contact and develop relationships with procurement officers and buyers and contract authorities
  • Present strategies and tactics for success to relevant teams
  • Support and collaborate with key stakeholders and business groups as required

  • University degree or college diploma in journalism, communications, project management or related field

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in strategic writing (including development of proposal templates, qualifications and resumés)
  • Minimum of five (5) years assessing, developing and managing proposals for complex professional services project requirements
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience managing the proposal process for complex professional services project requirements
  • Demonstrated initiative in building programs, teams and establishing best practices
  • Asset: Experience in a professional services industry considered
